Hot Forging

hot forging
of non-ferrous metals

Since 1909, we have been working with non-ferrous metals, building over a century of metallurgical expertise that today translates into one of the most established hot forging capabilities in the industry.

At Masperotech, hot forging is not one of our services
— it is our core.

Hot forging is a reshaping process in which a heated metal billet is compressed into a closed die to obtain the desired geometry. Unlike other metalworking techniques, forging enhances the material’s internal grain structure — resulting in components with superior mechanical strength, durability and structural integrity, while optimizing material usage compared to machined parts.

Every component we produce goes through this process, engineered for precision and repeatability, regardless of complexity or volume.

We work with a full range of non-ferrous metals — including Aluminium, Copper, Magnesium, Brass, Titanium, CuNi, Monel, and AluBronze, across a broad spectrum of weights, sizes, and geometrical complexity.

We manufacture hot forged components tailored to the specific requirements of each client — from a few grams up to 2,000 kg, with maximum dimensions of approximately 3 meters in length. Whether you need as-forged blanks, fully machined forgings, or assembled units, we cover the entire production cycle under one roof.

Advantages of hot forging

Hot forging produces components with superior mechanical properties compared to casting or machining from solid.
The high compressive force applied during the process refines the metal’s grain structure, following the shape of the part and eliminating internal voids — resulting in stronger, more reliable components with greater structural integrity.

Greater mechanical strength
reduced machining
structural integrity
saving on material

From drawing to quality control.
Every step in-house.

Masperotech manages every phase of the hot forging production cycle in-house — from receiving certified raw materials to the delivery of finished components.

Each order goes through a defined sequence: raw material selection and cutting, closed-die hot forging, heat treatment, deburring, machining, quality control and any additional operations required to meet the final specification.

Whether you require as-forged components, fully machined forgings, or assembled units, we are your single point of contact.

Process steps:

1. RAW MATERIAL SELECTION AND CUTTING

2. CLOSED-DIE HOT FORGING

3. HEAT TREATMENT

4. MACHINING
